Can i add fans to this case??

    [web]http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119077[/web]

I want to add more fans to this case. I think there is room in the bays. If i cant add fans what kind of modding would i have to do?

It doesn't look like there are holes for fans beyond what they give you, but I would start by replacing the front fan with a 120mm. You can put a 90mm fan on top, and maybe some intakes on the bottom. There's plenty of guides on cutting holes in cases out there, I remember one on SLI-zone that helped me out a lot. Use a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade, and tape everything up to prevent scratching the paint. There are also plenty of converter kits out there that will allow you to put a 120mm in your bottom three 5.25" slots. Try Ebay for those.

to ebay or build an adapter out of some old CD drives

also you could fit some 92mm or 120mm fans onto the acrylic panel if you feel like cutting into it.

I would suggest using a hole saw or a circle cutter (if you have a drill press and don't mind taking your case apart) instead of a jigsaw for your fan holes. It will be faster, and much much easier.

No matter how you plan on cutting, don't forget to file everything.

    Good luck!

That's one on Newegg, and I've seen them for cheaper on ebay before.

Here's the guide for sawing: http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_cmg_part1.html

That's the one that I used. Just be sure when you're cutting to stay either on the inside or the outside of your line and keep it like that for the whole cut.

Yeah Carter said it best, circle cutter is king.

I don't think you can put a larger fan in the front due to the hard drive rack going all the way to the front. It takes 3x5.25 to put a 120mm in the front

Yeah, I guess that a circle cutter would be better, but I don't have a 120mm circle cutter or a drill press and I tend to tell people what works for me.

thegrimone, I don't see why he couldn't put a 120mm fan in there. The front bezels are already mesh, so he could leave them on.

Is the 80 in the front outside the case, as in between the front bezel and the case? If so that is a modable fan location, I thought it was between the HDD rack but, now that does not make sense, because then the HDD's would not fit right in those slots, so it must be on the outside. Completely modable to a larger/quieter fan.
