    Making a beverage cooler...

    Been trying to get one to review, they said they would send some, but nothing yet :-(

    Well I am glad that you enjoyed my adventure and the funny part is that it all happened just as I wrote it.

    That is pretty sweet, it would be cool to build into a mod. Just put it right above the optical drives. You might be able to build into one of these: http://www.xoxide.com/xray1.html. That would be hard. It's just a peltier and a hs/f; you could buy the parts to make it for under $15 shipped.

    Dex,that would be a great way to cool your Bawls!
    But seriously,I bought a 4-pack of Bawls,and it starts losing it's affect if you are drinking it a lot.

    @svengeance:

    I don't think that'd be hard at all

    tho, I'd remove the cigarette plug (lighter) with a switch to turn on/off the chiller

    I'm brightshininglights . The hardest part would be keeping the hs/f assembly all contained. It might even be easier to just make your own enclosure for the front bay. I would use standard molex connectors to power it instead of usb, that thing would eat your usb bus's power for breakfast. A switch would be good, yes. On the other hand, you could wire it so it turns off when retracted and leave the lighter where it is. You would use the same mechanism that a flashlight uses to turn on and off. The other thing that you could do would be to use a rheo to control how cold it gets, and a polarity changer to change it from cold to hot. Yum, bagel bites .

    ugh lol XD
    sorry missed for one post :P

    ugh polarity change? wouldn't that be lethal for the cooler?
    but how cold it gets... the colder, the better

    altho I wouldn't use this for Bawls, only for some Ice Tea or something

    *puts on professor glasses and picks up chalk*
    The peltier effect is as such: when two dissimilar metals are placed together and a charge is run through them, one side gets hot and the other side gets cold. Also, if one side is made cold and the other side is made hot, both by external sources, a charge will be produced. Switching polarity changes which side gets hot and which side gets cold. It is extremely important that one side has a heatsink attached or damage will be incurred.

    Now that's one thing I'd find really useful but I have no idea where to get..
