Thread: Shuttle Berserker

    Shuttle Berserker

I made this for the 2007 shuttle case mod contest using 84 faucet connectors and a lot of hard work. I call it the Berserker. I love braided steel cables, and I love them more in large tangled groups. I also made a point to keep the ends in a uniform grid, so it would be like nature exploding from its bounds. Enjoy!

If I had ram for this thing it would glow blue, and yes, a worklog is on the way. This thing is in the contest, or will be within a day, so make sure to head over there and vote for me!

Very cool! I'll be waiting for that work log. Those braided cables can get expensive can't they?

COOL! Kind of reminds me of the those things in the Matrix. It was chasing them thru the tunnels.

Thanks guys, and yeah, I got 90 of the cables for $60 (eBay). Cheaper than anywhere else, but still. More expensive than I would have liked. It does kind of look like a Sentinal, doesn't it? I love the "mass of metal cables" look as I have said before.
My entry should be active within a couple days, but I have to resend my pictures. Apparently they have a rule against logos in pics. It makes sense, and they do reserve the right to modify the rules, but it would have been nice if they had told me beforehand. Whatever, no biggy.

Alright, it's live on the site. I would appreciate votes, but do what you will.

I must say, that looks REALLY cool. my only complaint is that thats all you did, is it just me or is the front or the rest untouched?

They were only given the outer shell to mod. No frame or anything other than the cover to decorate. When you are seeing some of them with the whole unit it's because they furnished the rest of the unit them self. Happy Modding to ya.
