I have a 2gb flash drive that got slightly broken (it was in a laptop that hit the ground). The connector ripped off the circuit board, but as far as I can tell the memory is fine. Originally, I was just going to solder the end of a USB cable onto the board, and like duct tape it or something.... But I just snagged a 4gb drive for 20 bucks (thanks T2!) so I was thinking about doing something a little more creative to the old drive.
I will throw up pics when I have a chance, but any ideas about what I could use it for? (readyboost is pretty much worthless according to my tests) I can't really do metalwork, but anything would be better than stringing a keyring through bare PCB and just carrying it on my keychain.
