    Mismatched cooling?

I was just wondering if it is possible to get a fan powered air cooler for a CPU that is too big for the load? I know that a while back I read that you shouldn't use a powersupply under like 70% load because its really inefficient or something. Is it possible for a cooler to be too large, and thus not cool as well as another "weaker" cooler?

Thought just popped into my head when I was looking at the V8/V10 reviews.

On the PSU side, one can safely run a PSU probably anywhere between 30 and 70 %. The ideal solution is to pick the right unit that meets your max load with a little headroom while allowing you to run at or close to the peak efficiency when under normal operation. Most current units being made are offering some impressive results when it comes to efficiency.

As far as air coolers go. I don't think so. The cooler is rated to handle up to a set amount of heat. The only time you're going to have a problem is when you exceed that (create to much heat for the cooler to properly cool).

ok. i stopped to think about it from a physics standpoint and realized i was asking a retarded question.
