Can you guys think of any good fan controller installations?

Hey guys.... looking for inspiration here. Wondering if any of you have found a mod where someone put in a fan controller, and found an ingenious way of mounting and routing the fan cables?

I've got some ideas, but figured I would throw out a net and see what I pull back up!

    TIA!

One idea I was going to use was to hot glue (like a weld tack) the wires underneath the mobo on the inside case wall. It'll take some pre-planning and extra wire length but keeps them well out of the way and hidden.
Space was a priority in the case I'm working on and I should have done it but had too many things going on at once and forgot about it.
The only problem I ran into was where to mount the actual fan connector to the controller connectors but that probably wouldn't be too difficult either, just glue them also protruding from under the mobo so you can access them.

It's too bad they don't make EL wire for fan wiring. The only problem would be the nuisance high pitch noise it emits. That would be the opposite approach, to highlight the wiring.

Neither is probably very unique but something I was mulling over also.

NOt nearly as extravagent as he did it, but the premise is going to be used to a certain effect!

Not a fan controller installation, but it would / could work in a similar manor.

ORAC3 looks good but how much space is that going to take up?

It is the concept of using the stereo plugs as an interface... and it gave me an idea! Better yet, it gave me a "maintainable" idea!

all I am concerned about is 12v/GND/SPEED, 3 leads, and those cross nicely with the LeftChannel/RightChannel/Ground that stereo plugs use. OOOOOOO.... man, this is gonna look good if I can get the parts to make this work!

Stereo plugs (RCA type connectors) are a great idea.
Easy connect/disconnect with no hassles and instant access.
Are you thinking of braided type cables also?

Not RCA plugs, but stereo headphone plugs.

old school knob fan controllers are a think of the past IMO. Than can all be done with good software or a matrix orbital in my opinion.

Sheldog, I think they mean better ways to manage the cabling from a fan controller to multiple fans, and not have messy cables inside.

My suggestion/idea : Get some of those flat ribbon style wire cords...get plenty of it so you have enough length for rewireing all the fans obviously.. but when you run it flat along the inner contours of the case, you could paint over them, if the inside of your case is painted, so that it blends in...or you could go UV paint on the ribbons... go for some color.

Any quick release "plugs" for those fans that are on the case door? so that when you take the door off, there are no wires to risk pulling out..hell two/three metal "prongs" that touch when the case door is on..pop on and off, no wires to see or disconnect when you take the case door off... Just run the wires straight and flush against the case's inner walls.
