    Pentium D805? Pentium D930? A64 3200+?

I'm about to finally get my long awaited upgrade. Problem is, very few choices in my country, the best 3 choices are:

Pentium 805D: I've personally tried this one, OC's easily to 3.32GHz (stock is 2.66) on air with stock HS and CRAPPY RAM.
Pentium 930D: It's stock 3GHz and has 2x2MB L2. Dunno how far i could got on OC tho. Pro: it's 65nm technology (less power/heat).
    A64 3200+:
Tho I haven't had any experience with s939 Athlons, I know you need good RAM for decent OC. The best sticks you can get here are Kingston Valueram PC3200. I can get a decent vanilla A8N-SLI tho.

This system is gonna be the main gaming pc at home, so dual core isn't a must atm (but it's nice to have anyway).
Remember, I can't get any decent RAM, CPU is gonna be air cooled with your choice of 3rd party HS/Fan.
I'll appreciate any comments, especially first hand experiences.

Thanks Thrasher2. Problem is that anything above $100 (incl. shipping) delivered to my country would pay 30% taxes

You don't always need top notch memory for overclocking your processor, a simple memory divider can work wonders.

IMO i would go with the 3200. for one its the cheapest of those. also its got a faster fbs meaning it'd preform better with games that demand lost of bandwith with the cpu. That and i'm just a sucker for amd, but who isn't

intel is getting more competitive in price but i gotta say AMD spanks speed wise, my 1600mhz duron runs circles around my moms 3 plus ghz P 4. BTW does anyone else find the new mac w pc commercials funny

Id rather pick the 805 dual core hands down. Its overclockability is amazing, ive heard that thing going to at least 3.6Ghz on air and up to 4.1Ghz on water. completely destroying any other proc out there. Plus its DC so you dont have to worry about upgrading for a long time.

Well DC is nice so you do nt need to upgrade later but you have to go through a hassle with some apps when running a DC. Also keep in mind intel has always had a higher lock frequency in general than AMD but because AMD has a faster fbs they preform better in most cases. And 4.1ghz dc = power hog and if you put in a 7900gt or a high end card like that which takes up alot of power your gonna need a 600w PSU with alot of v's on the 3 and 12 rails. Like i said i'm an AMD fan, so i dont really check up on the intel benchmarks but i'll look into it

oh btw i'm getting the 3200 next week so ill mess around with it some and let you know how it does. and also the 3200 runs pretty damn cool from what i've seen.

agreed, I think we read the same article

well i just read up on it and i must say i'm amazed. That thing overclocks like mad. But i was also right when i said its a powerhog. If i didn't think amd was gonna make a processor to compete with this thats 2 times better, i'd probably get it.

I'll have a priest throw holy water on my 3200 and then ramp it up to 4ghz and run circles around this 805
