I bought a 160gig SATA for $59.00 at ewiz.com. You can get the newer technology for the price of the old. Just go to our Deals and Steals and ask for some help and "BAM" it happens. Happy Modding to ya.

I just received a email for a sale at geeks.com for a Maxtor 250gig HDD that might be up your alley. Here is the link to it.

Deffinatly 512mb of ram. For gaming, I deffinatly wouldn't go below 512. It's a very worthwhile upgrade.

Well, its a setup that would work, but personally I would spend an extra few bucks to upgrade the components just a little. For example, I would definatly recommend 1 gb of RAM, it'll make a pretty big difference. Also, like mentioned above, you can get a 160GB SATA drive for about $60 off newegg. Also, you may be able to find a better GPU for about the same price, but I'm no expert on current GPUs so I cant really say.

On a different note, it may be worth your money to buy a seperate powersupply. Based off what I've read in the past, the general consensus on powersupply/case combos is that the powersupply is likely to crap out well before its expected lifetime is up.

The 6800XT isn't a bad card. I have it on all of the LAN computers downstairs. The eVGA version *Same as what you're interested in.* They're used for CS:S, FEAR and soon to be BF2142 *woot *

I also have the eVGA 6800XT graphics card. It works well for me when playing CoD2, Far Cry, Quake 4 and DoD Source.

I would def go with 1 gig of ram, you can get for like 100 bucks total if you shop around for some value stuff, or 150 for a little better quality.

Performance really jumps with 1 gig, especially with WinXP.

Well dispite PNY's lack in preformance I can say its pretty rugged. I accidently forgot to put up a divider when i was overclocking and the ram was running at insane speeds 8O It still lives.
