question about removing sracthes in aluminum

Well that is a problem, scratches in aluminum are not always easy to hide, normally some sanding and some polishing will take care of most of the lighter scratches. But once you do that its going to affect how things look. The top will no longer be a consistant look to the rest of the case.

question about removing sracthes in aluminum

If its painted then painting is of course what needs done. I assumed it was not painted. In my opinion a highly polished aluminum look is superb.

you could also bondo the deep scratches, and then paint the case. powder coating sounds good too.

question about removing sracthes in aluminum

Buffing the whole thing would be a pain, but would inexpensively give you the results you want.

question about removing sracthes in aluminum

If it was me I would take some slightly coarse sandpaper and sand with the grain of the of the aluminum a few times to see if the scratches start to dissappear. If they do then I would continue until they are gone then do the rest of the case to match. If it does not work you have at least sanded the case and got it ready for painting :-)
