The problem on my Acer laptop motherboard is that a "technician" destroyed the positive and negative CMOS legs on the battery holder (CR2032). By scratching down I have been able to find the negative traces (-) and soldering a cable onto it , but I am perplexed about finding a positive (+) connection on the motherboard. From where should I take a positive wire?
I found this image on a webpage of someone with a similar problem, but for the life of me I don't know what point to use to get a positive place. Does it necessarily have to be on a 3v buss? Does such a thing exist?
