    8800GTS Compatibility Question

    Hello Everyone,
Someone has asked me to build an extremely high end system for them *a friend* so I said what the heck, sure. My main concern is... Will the 8800 GTS work with Windows XP Pro? My guess is yes, that you don't need vista. That they'll still work even though they're DX10 and xp pro only uses dx 9. Will there be an error? We're aware that dx10 won't be enabled. Also, I believe this core 2 extreme processor works with the 8800GTS, correct me if I'm wrong.

These are the parts that are in it (Just taken from the order form off of my site for organization purposes.)

    Case: Armor Black Aluminum Case
Motherboard: P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard
CPU: *Dual Core* Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 Conroe 2.93GHz 4M sharing L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor
CPU Cooling: Advanced Air Cooling for Intel Processors
    Video Cards: 8800GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card
    Video Cards: 8800GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card
    RAM: XMS2 DOMINATOR 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 Dual Channel Desktop Memory (RAM)
    Hard Drive 1: 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
    Operating System: Windows XP Professional
    Power Supply: Turbo-Cool 1000W Continuous @ 50°C Power Supply
Sound Card: SOUND BLASTER X-Fi Platinum 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz Sound Card

Please post asap, it'll be greatly appreciated!

    8800GTS Compatibility Question

Yeah, I"m a huge Asus fanatic. I normally look at their motherboards first. Mainly because they just seem to have a nice layout, have never crapped out on me and their tech support isn't TOO bad. I wish I had the funds for a system like this one though XD.
