Are you looking to add more storage to your system? How about a dual hard drive external enclosure with USB support.? The IPC Queen Dual HDD Enclosure does just that plus letting you add over one terabyte of storage with supporting drives and an operating system.

While reading your review and looking at the pics, I was wondering how it was getting fresh air for cooling and the rear fan looks to be a little restrictive about exhausting the warm air also. So it seems to me that it would make a good candidate for a mod job. That is if the company doesn't correct these small problems. Do you have any idea on the cost of the unit? With these small problems I would hope it was a reasonable price. Your review covered all the bases and it was a fine review. Thanks.

Once your in the review, clicking the title link will take you to the products page for the specific sponsor.

Sundial Micro currently has this listed for $31.00.

I totally agree that the cooling is a tad lacking which is why I am sure it got the score of an 8. Although I have seen numerous enclosures that have even less cooling than this one. I would still have liked to seen some vents on the front of the unit to allow for better airflow in the housing.

It's ATA only, I'd give that one as a con - last page of review

Air vents would definitely be an improvement in cooling.

Being Ata wasn't an issue with me, with a few rebuilds over the years I ended up with a couple of drives sitting around with nothing to put them in.

At this time most of my drives are the PATA type. I've only 1 SATA.

Great job on the review -PC-!

I think that you will find that IDE and SATA enclosure will be 50/50 on the market right now as so many people have extra IDE drives left over from upgrades. Not too many peolple have upgraded their SATA drives and if you go buy a 3.5 enclosure WITH a hard drive it will probably have a SATA inside.
