    amd antlon with sfx psu??

    ok so heres the thing, im goin to be starting a project soon, im going to be building a htpc, but i have a few qeuitions first....im goin to be using an amd anthlon 64 3800 at the most if not that cpu it will be one of the lower amd 64's. anyways im getting a normal mobo dont know which one yet, but anyhow the case im putting it in is a very small case and only takes the small micro sfx psu's, now ive heard alot about this psu's so i need to know a few things first, like...
    1.will it be able to power this setup?
    2.what watt do i need??

    ok so all i ask is this can a sfa psu at say 200watt power an amd 64 system? ive asked the peeps of ebay and they say it can but you know what they like so i thought i would ask a reliable sorce

    well hope someone can help me out abit here! the sooner the better

    Well before anyone can even think about it, you need to list the full specs that are going to be used for the build. Personally I would not be going with something that restricts me to specific parts. If it doesnt take a standard PSU then it doesnt belong in my house .

    ok, so its a small case as i want a small one for the front room....so heres the specs i am thinking of,
    AMD anthlon 64 3500+ yup changed my mind its socket 939 btw!
    motherboard....i dont know im not sure what motherboard would suit best so if u have any gd ideas.......
    512mb samsung ram
    160gb hdd (possibly a 250gb)
    standered dvd drive not dvd-rw
    no floppy drive
    thats it really, oh and a few case fans yea bout 2 to be honest

    is that enough info? if not let me know i can sure sort it

    Depending on the video I probably wouldnt go below 300 watts.. But without a full spec list its hard to say.

    I would suggest one of the EE (energy efficient) athlon 64s.... you will probably pay a little more for the same performance, but they will let you use the smaller Power supply, and produce less heat in your small case too.
