BIG RED Military switch/UV light MODDONE&q

    Hello Modders.
I mentioned in my last few posts what I was going to be installing switches in the front of the case to operate my light's. I was able to get that together tonight, but not all of the LED's want to be on at the same time. It has something to do with grounding the LED terminal this i know. Got any ideas????I will post some images to my progress.

I used styrofoam to make sure the switches would work in the on position with the front hatch open.

and then made my measurements to drill my hole's,and mount the switches.

at the end of each switch is a quick disconnect so things could be removed if needed.

and finally a side view of drive bay panel with wires saudered to terminals.

All switches work, and still do, but all LED's worked too, but not all at once, did I miss something? I checked my ground for the LED's. Even to the point that i have a bare wire grounded to the chassy for each switch. Right now I have one on and the other LED's are off. <<<<help,,,, frustrated!

    Good night!

Each led string needs to be plugged into it's own power source. It sounds like you plugged them all into one molex, so that when you flick one on it alone gets power, but when you have two or more, there's not enough power to light them all simultaneously.

Each switch has its own power. I think it my be more like what I am trying to switch is less than 12v like 5v. Ill have to test the wire and find out for sure.

Ok, got it all figured out, and is up and running!!!!

The issue turned out to be installer error..The three switches operate 3 different light's.

One is a standard UV cathode mounted on a UV reactive fan.The other two are cold cathode kits with 2 lights per kit. That was the tricky part. This kit has a three position switch.Center position is off, and other position to activate UV/bright selection. I chose to keep the three position switches in the circuit, because I still wanted the ability to switch from one cold cathode to another PER KIT. I assumed polarity to be one way, but turned out to be the other for the 12v power to LED. I also introduce two 12v relays to prevent any issues to come. " additional mods?"
