You can purchase an extension for about $3.00USD and have both. Then you can modify the adapter anyway you want. I got one as a gift a few months back. The one I got was taking a 20pin and turning it into a 24pin at the other end. Happy Modding to ya.

I got mine from newegg. After I paid taxes and shipping it came to $9.00. I was given a $10.00 gift certificate from Newegg and all I could find at Newegg within that limit, because in Tennessee you have to pay 9.5% in taxes(somewhere around that amount) and then shipping, was the adapter. I actually paid more in the shipping and taxes than I did for the product. Happy Modding to ya.

    24 pin power header

I was tearing an old mobo apart today and thought about you. So I took off the female 20pin power plug and it's all in one piece with all the pins attached and no mobo material on it. Do you want it, if so let me know and I'll mail it to ya.

So that's what I have and it's yours if you want it. Happy Modding to ya.
