Thank you for the comments everybody! It's gonna be a fun indeed

Now that is one cool unit. I bet your going to have some fun getting working with that in your mod. Does it come out and unfold on it's own? Happy Modding to ya.
Yes, its motor driven. I want one for my own PC now!

Heres some pics of the case.... Also, anyone ever heard of a "SS" Motherboard option? The SwordM has some mounting holes labeled "SS"

    Project Phenom Fun Fact #1

Thermaltakes SwordM case will accomondate twelve 120mm fans.

4x 120mm fans in the access door
3x 120mm fans in the top panel
2x 120mm fans in the rear door
2x 120mm fans in the floor
    1x 120mm in the bezel

    * good grief.

I don't plan on using half those fans, or a third if I can help it ...heh. I'd bet Thermaltake thought "Hey, we can sell more fans with this design"

Carlos and I contacted COOLIT about the possibility of mounting their new Boreas 12TEC Chiller ...They declined because it's not available yet. It would have had to mount Vertically because it's designed to be mounted in a chassis with open space under the 5.25 bays.. (Exhausting out left/right sides) The SwordM 5.25 bays span the height of the chassis, and are integral part of the chassis rigidity. Although the chassis could be modified, our time for this project is limited. So, the next best thing was to ask for COOLIT's Freezone Elite cpu cooler.. which also isn't avail yet, but they at least said would get back us

    (crosses fingers)

I can't wait to see how this mod turns out!

I saw pictures of the SwordM case a while back (online pictures of a trade show) and it looks really cool. That's a lot of mounting holes for fans (or radiators).

Pc case makers keep a close eye on what modders do with cases, and I'm sure that they can see that adding fans is either the first or second step in any mod. Thus, they do our work for us by adding as many fans as humanly possible.

I just thought of this today, CM Stacker + Zalman TN 500A = SwordM

(btw: ^ dig those zalman castors!)

Bummer news gang, CoolIT told us the Boreas 12TEC Chiller isn't ready yet. We're waiting confirmation for using their new Freezone Elite CPU cooler instead.

Carlos just sent an inquiry to SuperTalent about using their SSD hard drive (128GB SATA model #FSD28GC25M)

We're also waiting for delivery confirmation on Razor's new Lycosa keyboard

Also looking at options for 32" LCD monitor, but haven't decided upon a brand/model yet.

fyi: Powering everything will be Thermaltake's 1200W Toughpower Cross-Fire Ready Modular Power Supply.
