Where did you get that for $400? You could part that machine on ebay for a profit!

    The quick version ....

Guy i work with bought it off E-bay, advertised as NEW and unused, for $1100.00 (was a big discount at the time).

He waited almost a week to open the box, discovered it had been damaged (case was bent) and it was missing the feet of the case.

In shipping (i guess) the water cooler block had come separated from the processor.

He contacted the E-bay seller, and of course they told him that since he waited so long, they weren't going to do anything about refunding his money (and they suggested he was trying to return a damaged computer instead of the "new" one they sent him! :? )

He's a complete new computer user, and was so excited at his good deal, then frustrated .... he went to Best Buy and bought a new Velocity Micro 2250!

Anyway, a few months passed, and he still hadn't received a refund, nor had his Credit Card given him back the money, so he approached me.

I told him i couldn't give him what he paid for it, and didn't want to take advantage of him, and to think about what he really wanted as far as selling it.

A few weeks before Christmas he asked me if i would give him $400.00!? 0-0

He said he didn't know if it worked (water block still off) and that he figured in parts it was worth that.

So i gave him the money, i got the case and all the accessories it came with (discs, manuals, T-shirt, Mouse & keyboard) and went to my Brother in laws for Christmas with all the stuff to take apart and hopefully rebuild.

Removed it from the damaged case, put in the new power supply in the new case, got all the "guts" installed and fired it up....

Had to remove the Velocity Micro bios, and get the current ASUS one ... immediately asked me to authenticate windows Vista 64 and the rest is "history!!"
