and asian porn emails form you!

    Just kidding.

I think it's a great idea and I hope all goes well in getting it started as I would love to get MI newsletters and think it's a great addition to the site.

If you promised me those twice daily...I'd sign up in a heartbeat.

If you're open to suggestions...here's some.

Give-a-ways, summaries on reviews with links to the in-depth, recent releases from manufacturers, heads-up on freeware (like what PC mag's give out on CD's), news in the gaming and technological world, spotlight on a mod or two (ones that are in-progress), updates in site, quick summary of podcast (I don't listen to them, personally, not a fan of talk radio). Things like that or, basically, things that will get people to check out the site more often. Plus, I know I'm not one to do much research so someone telling me what's being released and why that kicks ass will give me reason to do more research (or not).

I think part of the problem is the amount of time that has to be dedicated to implementing some of the suggestions. I too have offered some worthwhile suggestions but there are only so many hours in a day and one person can only do so much.
If we want this to continue to grow and be a succesful website I think it would be beneficial to us all if we made a commitment to take on one or two things that we deem worthy and go with them. Filter it through the proper channels of course and if it doesn't work out, move on to the next idea. The posting of articles/links/news worthy notes and ideas are what foster the air of creativeness. The worklogs and tips are another avenue that keep others coming back to see whats going on but if there are only a few participants the choice level will be limited, and so will the activity level. The site in turn is only going to be as goods as we make it.

"Ask not what you're site can do for you....but what you can do for your site"? But that's a pretty good point. It also depends on how often the newsletter is done (monthly, quarterly, etc) as for what's in it...but, I think everyone who would sign up for the newsletter would either be one of the people who visit daily or at least a few times a week or the type of person who would stumble upon the site, visits it for awhile then disappear or something similar. So, it may end up being a waste of energy and resources, honestly.

    Newsletter?

I love you guys....in a manly way that is...(hmm,that still don't sound right does it)

    You guys are exactly right

sh4rkbyt3 your statement has hit the very sole of MI and is what we are about. Without you and others there is no MI. MI is NOT here for Tazz, Xcalibur, Tech Daddy, or myself to hype up and display our work; it is for ALL to do so. I enjoy looking at and reading what others are doing or have done.

Modders-Inc is a Community site for all to partake in. All you have to do is take a few minutes to do so.

We have plenty of avenues for everyone to have a say or to be creativee on the site.

Kordova and Vashant have taken a part by posting news and misc stuff for us. There is no way I can tell them enough on how much that is appreciated!

You and Enamor84, with a few others have been the staple of lately for the forums and again that has not been missed by me and it VERY much appreciated!

I wish I could offer everyone a job at the site maybe some would like to start of being mods for the forums or write a few things up. I am kind of limited on what I can give out for your efforts, but heart felt thanks would also be there.

The thanks is very much appreciated but not at all necessary. What I've gotten from here I am trying to merely give back. I'll never feel as though I am on the same level as many of the modders on here but it doesn't stop me (in fact it drives me) in learning more.

Having built a few websites many years ago I know what dedication it takes to maintain something like this and I appreciate the effort and especially the results.

From this, I now have a side career building and fixing computers, and ever so rarely modding them. While I have not quit my day job as a Plumber/Pipefitter, the merging of hobby and career has brought me a few customers. Without this website I would be relying on a bad economy and working only a few months out of the year as has been the case for the last 3-4 years. Instead, I am considered a computer guru (undeservingly so and highly overstated) which has helped to give me something to fall back on when times have been tight, which is often lately.

It is most gratifying when you have the opportunity to pass on something that helps someone else out. Community.

For me i'd love the idea of a news letter, Lol no matter the subject i'd be reading it. I think sh4rkbyt3 and Enamor84 hit it on the nose, theres lots of information that you can use to your advantage in the Modders-Inc News Letter (Even sounds SWEET)

I honestly love being apart of the team, like sh4rkbyt3 I've learnt so much from this site and i like to think i'm only trying to give back what I've taken. You've done an amazing job on this site and we all know its a hell of a job maintaining it, I honestly love coming to the site (everyday) to see whats new in the world of modding, seeing the worklogs updated, learning from other mistakes Lol. I honestly love the site for what it is, I've been working on a project with my free time and its only because of what I've learnt here. So my thanks is oh so little to what i've actually learnt on this site.

Bottom line... Thank YOU for making this site what it is. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for you.

PS. Sorry i haven't been around the last few days, been working on a bathroom reno. Lol sh4rkbyt3 i sure could of used you the last few days, ya see i always thought sh*t flows down hill and thats all you needed to know, well now i know that ain't true, pluming is fun once you get it but man it was something else learning it all.
I'm in the finishing stages and i'll be back n' action in no time.

LOL Kordova, it does flow downhill. It's how it gets to the bottom though that matters ha ha ha ha. If I can be of any help fire me off a PM, if I don't have the answer I WILL get it for you!

I agree with Kordova, this site has made a tremendous difference in my life. Thank YOU!

My thoughts on the newsletter is that highlights on the site would be pointed out. Like who got selected as a featured rig, info on upcoming contest or events, reviews, maybe some inside info from vendors and such.
