Yes I know my rig is not C2D. If you want to take the AMD vs Intel out of the question then compare the amount of heat each puts out.

This Noctua cooler I have here does not care if its sitting on a AMD or Intel CPU. The question is can it effectively cool the processor. How many watts does the C2D put out?

I am sure the either of the two coolers will perform better than the stock C2D cooler. I know AmericanFreak seen nice improvements on his C2D going from the stock cooler to the X-Wind 120mm.

I agree with Tazz. I have read many reviews on that Beetle and was surprised about how bad of a cooler it has turned out to be for the price tag. Your $50.00 can be better spent on something else. Happy Modding to ya.

I found a heatsink that will blow the Beetle out of the water for you and save you some money to boot. Here is the first one for you.
Scythe NINJA PLUS Rev.B SCNJ-1100P 6Heat Pipes CPU Cooler with 120mm Fan
Zalman CNPS9500 AT Copper Heatpipe Cooler with 92mm Fan for socket LGA775 with PWM Control
    Thermalright XP-120
Zalman Copper CPU Cooler Model "CNPS7700-Cu"
Each and everyone of these coolers are under $50.00USD and each one will do a better job than the Beetle. Happy Modding to ya.

All of which are similar to the ones I stated, and all of which should perform relatively close to each other, while out performing the stock cooler.

I have the 7700, and it is excellent. (of course anything would have been better than the stock HS/F i had)
