    One of the key features consumers are looking at today when purchasing a power supply is the efficiency of the unit along with the output. The Seasonic S12 Energy + 550 power supply is the one we are looking at today. They also offer the S12 Energy + in a 650 Watt version as well. This "80 Plus" certified unit will be run through the rigorous tests done by our good friend Jonny.

     The Seasonic S12 Energy+ 550 Watt PSU comes packed in an attractive looking box that lists its main features and functions on its exterior. The rear of the package focuses on the special features of the unit.




     Here we have the power supply removed and cables stretched out. The Seasonic S12 Energy+ series of power supplies are in compliance with ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V v2.9. They are also "80Plus" certified boasting over 80% efficiency. The S12 has a basic matte black finish to it with a chrome wire grill over the fan and we can also see that most of the cables are sleeved.


    


     Included with the Seasonic S12 Energy+ is the power cord, mounting screws, and one molex to floppy adapter. They also offer several information booklets showcasing their commitment to quality, and information on the S12 and M12 versions of the unit.
