WinFast PX8600 GTS TDH Extreme

 Description:

The new Leadtek/WinFast PX8600 GTS TDH Extreme graphics card with the GDDR3 memory clocked to 1000(2000) Mhz and the GPU set to 710 Mhz it is set to be a real screamer for the money, but can it do it? We put this new card through some hard testing and it came out without a scratch.

 First Impression:

The box displays a futuristic woman warrior ready to do battle against any foe that may come near, which suggest that the PX8600 GTS TDH Extreme is also ready to take on any newcomers (games) in battle. Leadtek supplies plenty of useful information about the NVIDIA based PX8600 GTS TDH Extreme PCI-e video card on the box.

The front of the boxes shows off all the features that the WinFast PX8600 GTS TDH can do which includes DirectX 10.0, Lumenex Engine (The Lumenex engine was designed with one goal in mind: to provide the highest image quality with the lowest performance impact.), and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. We also see that it is Vista ready and if you get two of them you will be able to run in SLI mode.

With these two images Leadtek shows us why you should upgrade from any onboard video to a dedicated GPU. Of course gamers know the motivation to do so, but those that are new to PC's may not know the benefits of upgrading. The two simple images speak for themselves, loud and clear.

The graph below gives you a immediate evaluation of a few NVIDIA graphic cards. The top bar represents the 8800 series with the next ones being the 8600, 8500, 7300, and then the typical on board video is last and is represented in the grey area.
