 Description:

A little over a month ago we took a look at XigMateks HDT-S963, which performed really well for its size. This time we are going to look at its big brother the HDT-S1283. The main difference between the two coolers is the over all size of the cooler and the fact that the HDT-S1283 uses a 120mm fan where the HDT-S963 used a 92mm fan. So let's check it out and see if it can show the little brother up.

 First Impression:

The Xigmatek HDT-S1283 came in a container that had a little more fluff than the HDT-S963 did. The box is eye catching and informative. On the front you will find the main features the cooler has to offer. On the side we can easily find out which processor socket types the HDT-S1283 will fit. Flipping over to the rear of the box you can find a complete listing of the HDT-S1283's specifications.

The Xigmatek HDT-S1283 came packaged just as securely as its little brother did. The cooler is tightly packed in the inner box with all the mounting hardware tucked under one of the flaps of the box.

Here we have the HDT-S1283 components pulled out of the box. You receive the HDT-S1283 cooler, the 120mm brushless fan, and a bag containing the deflector and mounting hardware along with the manual.

  • H.D.T. (Heat-pipe direct touch) technology.
