SilverStone Lascala 17, LC17B HTPC Case

Sponsor: SilverStone

Price: 130.00 USD

Author: Krystal

Published: Fri, Mar-02-2007

 Description:

The Lascala LC17 is great on looks, performance, flexibility, and functionality. Silverstone's attention to detail and quality are outstanding, from the packaging, the manual, to even the amount of screws. This case's ability to hold full-size components will work great now and serve you well for years to come.

 First Impression:

This is a mid level  HTPC case from Silverstone Technology who have been building cases since 1998. All of their HTPC (Home Theater Personal Computer) cases come in a choice of Black or Silver. Silverstone gladly sent a Black Lascala 17 for Modders-Inc to review.

I was very concerned when the case was delivered in it's actual retail box with some scratches and torn tape. All my concerns were relieved when I opened the box to find out it is a double thickness cardboard box, sealed in plastic with soft foam end caps. The Lascala 17 arrived in perfect condition, without a scratch.

Enlargements are of the carton and the soft foam end caps.

Looking over the carton the top and two sides have an image of both Silver and Black cases, the model number and some features.

One side has an introduction blurb that couldn't be read though the shipping label, the specification table and special features images.
