Razer Copperhead - Anarchy Red

 Description:

Razer is one of the top mouse manufactures. They have been making some major leaps forward in the industry. Today we are going to have a look at the Razer Copperhead with its 2000dpi laser engine. I have heard mixed comments on the Copperhead since its release. We will see how I feel it stacks up to its main competitor.

 First Impression:

The Razer Copperhead comes blister packed show casing the mouse's top view with a mirror like layer to give you a view of the side of the mouse. This is definitely an eye catching package which also states the 32kb of onboard memory, 1000Hz Utlrapolling with 1ms response time, and the 2000dpi laser engine.

The rear of the package shows the upper have of the bottom side of the mouse, offers the features in 7 languages and states the system requirements. It also shows the Tempest Blue and Chaos Green color options.

Now I will be the first to say I am in biased when it comes to mice. I have been using Logitech cordless mice for many years (I have owned seven of them and currently still own 4 of the seven). I made the conversion to cordless years ago and do not plan on switching back to the corded versions. Don't get me wrong I do own corded mice too; I just do not use them on my daily rig. Hearing all the hype about the Razer Diamondback and Copperhead mice I was eager to check one out, so when the chance knocked at my door I gladly accepted.

When I first received the Razer Copperhead I was pleased to see the sleek colorful design of it. The Copperhead was lightweight and felt like it would be easy to adjust to. The first concern I had was with the rather narrow foot print the Copperhead offered. The length of the Copperhead also concerned me; it has a little bit longer reach for the scroll wheel than most the other mice out there.
