Didn't happen to see a new post yet on this despite the release a few days ago. (November 17, 2009)
So far I'm loving it!
The challenges are much more difficult and there is a little more emphasis on teamwork. Try playing online with only the bot characters, it's like going to battle with Boy Scouts backing you up lol.
The graphics are excellent and even better than the first one. They've also added a few difficult to see through fire and smoke scenarios. I've not yet spent any time on the survival mode but I'll be getting to it soon enough. The addition of the clowns (which attract more zombies) and the character that jumps on your back to ride you around like a human Turbin are pretty difficult at times especialy if you try it in expert mode.
The eppie pen boost and additonal weapons add a whole new dimension of gameplay. The auto shottie has been replaced with a combat shotgun and the frying pan is wickedly funny to sit bak and watch zombies getting bonked and smashed by an Aunt Jemima tool. Haven't found any "secrets" yet but I'm sure they are a couple hidden ones as in the last game. AKA the L4D1 subway tunnel side tunnel .
Great job by the developers and I'm very happy with the results.

I'm diggin it as well, still playing through the SP mission to get to now that maps.
