Ultra Products introduced the MicroFly case just a short time ago and not too long after that a small design flaw was found. If you are using a 6 inch deep power supply, the X2 and 600W offered by Ultra, two small tabs are in the way. These issues havebeen correct by Ultra Products, unfortunately a few cases did get shipped out. The fix for this is super easy and takes very little time to complete and I will show you how I corrected this issue.
Page 1:
If you place a 5.5 inch deep power supply into the MicroFly Case you will see that it fits in the case without a problem.
A small notch is in place on the side panel to allow the PSU to sit in the correct location. Yes the case is that small and every little bit of space is used.
When an Ultra Products X2 and 600W power supply is installed the issue becomes visible. The power supplies' are just a bit too large (deep) and does not fit into the notch. This means that the power supply can not sit properly in the case. The X-Finity 500W and V-Series fits perfectly into the MicroFly case so there is no need to do this mod.
Here is a close-up of how the notch/tab looks. You notice that there are two grooves located in the top of the side panel and they are really close to the tab that we need to repair. These grooves are used by the top panel to lock into the side panels to hold the all panels together.
