b-Tarantula 650 Watt PSU

Sponsor: Bgears

Price: 130.00 ish

Author: Tazz

Published: Tue, Feb-19-2008

 Description:

Bgears has been hard at work bring new products to their line over the last year. Today we are going to take a look at one of their latest power supplies. The Bgears b-Tarantula 650 Watt PSU. Although some users might say that a 650W power supply doesn't offer enough power for todays rigs, while the rest of us know that a good 650W unit will offer plenty of power for most users.

 First Impression:

The Bgears b-Tarantula comes packed in a very informative and attractive box. On the front cover you will find a high resolution view of the unit with a Tarantula sitting on the PSU. To the right of the picture you will see the main features of the b-Tarantula listed out.

Flipping the box around you will find a full listing of its specs, and also find the connector and cables that are suppled with the unit. A consumer buying this off the shelf will easily be able to tell if the Bgears b-Tarantula is going to make the grade. One thing I did notice was the lack of a UL # on the package. There is a UL logo but it does not include the number. We will have to see if we can figure out who the OEM is later on.

Upon opening the box you will find the manual and cables neatly packed around the bubble wrapped power supply.
