 Description:

X Trac Pads Fat Mat is a Cloth Nanofiber mouse pad that is relatively large and has a soft 1/4 inch thick foam backing. The large slick surface and extra thick soft material is invented to provide a more comfortable and efficient mouse surface. If you are in the market for a new gaming or desktop mouse surface take a look at the Fat Mat it may be what you are looking for.

 First Impression:

When I first recieved the package that the Fat mat was delivered in and opened it I noticed that it was rolled up and inserted into a clear tube.   This is different than most mouse pads that you purchase in a retail store and may be different for most of you.  Unless of course you have seen the SteelSeries of Mouse pads.

Taking the Fat Mat out of the tube and unrolling it the pad itself is also very similar in appearance to the Steelpads.  It is 1/4" thick black Foam material and doesn't stay in the roll shape.  It rolls out perfectly flat and has a smooth and soft finish to the surface of the pad.

Unlike the steel pads this fat mat has a little more glossy look to it.  I assume this is the nanofiber™ material and upon close inspection you can see, or can't see, how tiny the the threading is on the surface of this pad.  The Back of the Pad has a rubber tread like surface that looks like it will grip very well.  Sandwiched between is a soft foam material that should profile a soft and stable gaming surface.

On the side of the package you see some brief specs of the pad.  Below I have given you more detailed information from the website:

Fat Mat™ is an unusual mouse pad in that it's 1/4" thick (6.35mm).

Ergonomically speaking, if your desktop has a sharp edge, Fat Mat's thick backing doubles as a wrist rest giving you a very compfortable feel.

As if the thickness was not enough, Fat Mat's surface is made from our award winning nanofiber™ textile which is really slick and easy to clean.

Additionally, because the surface of Fat Mat™ is nice and soft, you will have greater control over your mouse which means greater accuracy with gaming and computer applications.

Q: "What's so cool about the Fat Mat's super thick rubber backing?"

A: If the desktop surface you're using is uneven, the super thick sure grip backing on the Fat Mat™ will help to even out the area where you're using your mouse.

XTracPads Fat Mat™ features:

  • Whisper quiet nanofiber™ textile
  • Soft and comfortable
  • Frey resistant edges
  • Extra thick Sure Grip rubber backing
  • HUGE mousing surface

Stop wasting your time doubling up mouse pads and give your wrist a break, grab a Fat Mat™ today!
