GFXChilla by Coolink

Sponsor: Coolink

Price: 29.99

Author: Sheldog23

Published: Tue, Jun-03-2008

 Description:

Employing 4 high-performance heat pipes and two large 80mm fans, the GFXChilla provides superior cooling performance at minimum noise levels. The GFXChilla is widely compatible, simple to install and can easily be upgraded.

 First Impression:

I received the Coolink GFXChiila from UPS and it was packed inside small box with peanuts. It appeared that the box had taken some damage during shipping.  Pulling the package out of the shipping box it was apparent that the damage went all the way through.   The damage to the box is minor and thankfully the actual cooler itself is unharmed.   The cooler just happens to be wrapped comfortably inside a sturdy plastic clamshell packaging.  Thankfully it looks as though the cooler is very well protected inside this casing.  Plus one point to Cooling for well designed packaging.

Taking a close look at the packaging you see that coolers two blue 80mm x 10mm fans show clearly through the window.   You aren't really able to see much else through the window.  Images of large heat pipes are adorned graphically across the front and give you an idea what is inside.    The front and Back sides of the packaging list the features of the cooler and there is a schematic of the layout of the GFXchilla.

Below is a summery from the Coolinks website of the features.

  • Four 6mm heatpipes for excellent heat distribution throughout the cooling fins
  • Two large, low-profile 80x80x10mm fans (18dB)
  • Low profile: takes up only 2 expansion slots
  • Incl. self-adhesive aluminum RAM & VR heatsinks
  • Easy installation and broad compatibility
