Specifications and Features:
Note: There is a discrepancy in the specifications of the Unicorn, I have the actual specs posted above, but will further explain the problem in the observation section of the review.
The Sigma Unicorn arrived at my house packaged quite well. It was double boxed, with both a generic brown box and the retail box, which I love to see on a review item. One thing that I noticed right off was that it was quite a heavy box, shipping weight of 38lbs. Yes, that is double boxed, but take away roughly 8lbs worth of cardboard and you still have a heavy approximately 30lb Mid Tower case, with no PSU.
After opening the generic brown box and removing the padding/filler to keep the inner box snugly packed, the nice artwork of the Unicorn's retail box appears. :)
The art work on the Unicorn box is very nicely done and yet it also does a very good job of showing off the many features of the Unicorn. Note; Though the both boxes had received a slight amount of damage that can be seen here, the packaging of the Unicorn by Sigma held up nicely and protected the case well. :)
I expected to see the front of the case when I opened the box, but was surprised to see the rear of the case instead. No matter though, as I am sure it makes it easier to remove from the box this way. As you can see it was packed in thick spongy styro-foam to keep the case firmly in place and to protect it from damage during shipping. It was also covered with a clear plastic bag to help protect it from scratches.
