Today we will be taking a look at Raidmaxs latest addition to their Elite Series Gaming Cases, the Raidmax IceCube. Considered to be the mini version of the Raidmax IceBerg, the Raidmax IceCube is a SFF (Small Form Factor) case basically designed to be a lan party case. So, let's find out how "1337" the Raidmax IceCube is, and will it be what you need at your next lan party.
First Impression:
The Raidmax IceCube was shipped to me double boxed. The first box,
being the protective box, was in pretty decent shape. Inside the first box was the second box which was the actual Raidmax IceCube package, which was a very generic white box with a carrying handle built into the top. Did I say very generic? ... there were no images of the case, no specifications or details on this box. In fact the only thing on the box was a UPC seal with IceCube WB Black written on it and a sticker saying No Power. I must say I was a tad disappointed in the outer appearence of the box. I personally like to at least see a picture of the product I am getting on the outside of the box. Perhaps it is so new that the artwork has yet to make the box? hmmm Also, inside the first box was a flat package .... a surprise?
Ah! ... Raidmax was kind enough to package a nice Black Polo shirt along with the IceCube. Cool, if it were only in a size 4 XLT. Yep, I'm a big boy :)
As we open the box we see that the Raidmax IceCube is package securely in thick foam.
The foam is on both the top and the bottom and provides plenty of cushion and clearence around the IceCube.
The Raidmax IceCube is covered completely with a heavy plastic packaging bag to protect it from dust and scratches.
