Raidmax Iceberg

 Description:

The Raidmax Iceberg case is a mid range enthusiast case.  It features 3 -120mm blue LED fans and 1 - 120mm black rear exhaust fan. The case sports two unique one click easy access side panels and is setup with pre-drilled holes for water cooling. This case has a lot of great features going for it along with plenty of room for your hardware. Can this case do what it says and keep your parts cool like an iceberg? Read more to find out.

 First Impression:

When I first received the Iceberg case I must say I was really disappointed in the packaging.  I have see some really sparse labeling and graphics before but this was just cheap.   The box that the Iceberg comes in has absolutely nothing on it.  Not a list of features or even a label to let you know what is inside the box itself.   The packaging isn't really all that necessary but it does let you know a little about what it is you are purchasing if you are picking it out in brick and mortar store.   It also shows that a company takes pride in the product.   It does not necessarily mean the product is bad however so lets open it up and see for ourselves first hand what's inside.

Looking inside the case we see the Iceberg case wrapped in your standard issue packaging.  Wrapped in plastic to protect the finish of the case and sandwiched between two end pieces of Styrofoam.   This is how 99% of mid range cases are packed and it does a decent job.  The foam doesn't really protect the middle of the case if it were punctured but the gap between the outside of the box and the case are enough to protect it in most cases.

Since there is no details to the specifications on the packaging and oddly enough no manual inside I ventured to the  Raidmax Website and copied the specs over.   As you can see some of the specs on the site don't match up with what is really on or included with the case.  For your convenience I have edited the information to reflect what it is you really will be getting with the case.

  • Pre-drilled holes for your liquid cooling system.
  • One click side panel provides easy access to your system components
  • All aluminum front chassis and panel
  • Two blue LED top fans keep your system cool and looking great!
  • Top mounted USB 2.0 and audio ports
  • Huge 120mm rear exhaust fan circulates hot air throughout your chassis
  • 120mm internal Blue LED fan keeping the chassis cool.   (website says 80mm)
  •  A replaceable drive bay for your floppy and card reader. (not supplied)

  Basic Specifications
