Published: Tue, Oct-21-2008

 Description:

Raidmax has introduced a new member to it's Performance Series Gaming Cases, the Raidmax AURA. A mid-tower computer case that seems to be geared towards the female gamer / computer enthusiast or at the very least someone with a more subtle "AURA" if you will. The Raidmax AURA comes in 4 in four unique "pastel" colors: seashell pink, emerald green, polar blue and “really black”. Shall we take a closer look? ... But of course we shall, ... on with the Raidmax AURA review. :)

 First Impression:

Raidmax presents Aura, designed with beauty and brilliance in mind. Aura comes standard with 3 drive racks, a huge 120mm rear exhaust fan, and integrated slide-lock technology which eliminates the need for screws to install your peripherals. The Raidmax AURA arrived in a plain brown box via the friendly guys of UPS. ... hmmm, I see just a hint of white with some text that may spell AURA! ;)

Sure enough upon peeling the tape back and opening the box up, I am greeted with the Raidmax Logo and the name AURA in big black letters. Some pretty colors are coming up from one corner as well.

With the Raidmax AURA retail box out of the plain brown box and into plain view, the colorful choices that the AURA can be acquired in is displayed on the box along with some of it's features. It does sort of grab your attention amidst the blacks, greys and silvers we see most of the time. You can get the AURA in Seashell Pink, Polar Blue, Emerald Green and Really Black.

Well so far so good, at least the box is looking pretty promising or at least very colorful, bright and cheery.... awh, I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy. lol :)

As I pop open the pretty Raidmax Aura retail box, I am greeted by the Polar Blue front bezel of the AURA.

I slid the AURA from the box to see that it was covered with a plastic cover to protect the paint finish and that it was encapsulated on both ends with thick styro-foam to keep the AURA from being damaged during shipping. Would we expect any less?
