Yep, even custom street rods and you guessed it, custom computers. Well, CrazyPC has just what you need to help you accomplish a wide array of very easy lighting effects, using one product the CrazyPC EL Neon Wire (Electroluminescent Wire). Today we will be looking at the CrazyPC Red EL Neon Wire Kit.

About CrazyPC

     First I would like to thank CrazyPC for sending out the EL Neon Wire Kit review sample. I would also like to tell those of you who may not have heard of CrazyPC before a tad about them.

     According to their website, CrazyPC was established in 1999 and has since served over 100,000 customers. With a mission to make available the widest selection of unique computer products and a dedication to customer service, they specialize in hard to find computer parts mainly in the area of computer cooling, case mods, and gaming accessories.

Packaging:




     Minimalistic packaging that is descriptive and easy to open. 



     Yep, you get what you see! ... the rest is up to your imagination.

     The CrazyPCEL Neon Wire Kit that I received was red in color. It came in a plastic retail package that was simplistic in design and easily opened. The front of the package displayed the company name, product name, and a brief description of the package contents. Basically right from the start, what you see ... is what you get.

Features:
  • Red Electroluminescent Wire Kit
  • Plenty of lead wire so that you can get your EL neon wire to the proper starting spot
  • Includes on/off switch and flashing function (light blinks on/off)
  • Can be used with car cigarette light adapter to provide accent lighting for  your vehicle interior. (See options)
  • Neon Wire is about 6ft long

Specifications:
  • Inverter Power Input: 12 Volt DC
  • Inverter Connector: 4pin molex
  • EL Neon Wire Length: Approximately 6 ft
  • EL Neon Wire Diameter: 3mm or approximately 1/8" thickness
  • Lead wire to EL Neon Wire length is 13 inches
  • Input wire from 4pin molex to inverter is approximately 20 inches
  • Output wire from inverter is approximately 18 inches
