RAIDMAX X-1

Sponsor: Raidmax

Price: 79.99

Author: Americanfreak

Published: Mon, Nov-29-1999

 Description:

In an age of "over plastic" and wildly designed cases a classic looking case may grab your attention as never before. The RAIDMAX X-1 case maintains the appearance of a mild-mannered case while including all the right features to turn heads... without feeling overly pre-mod. In the hands of the right modder there is no end to what could be done to personalize the X-1.

 First Impression:

I received the X-1 in an old RAIDMAX box, my first thoughts were "Ah did I get the wrong case?". Well, Of course I spoke too soon! Once I tore open the ragged outer box I got to see the REAL RAIDMAX X1 box. As you can see it a beauty. The box displays the two colors that the case comes in which they call "White" (all silver) and "Black" (black with a silver door front).

This is the RAIDMAX X-1 out of the box, as you can see I got the Black one. The case is a mid-size tower case but it has enough storage space inside to make a full tower jealous. You can see in the picture below that the right side panel has been vented  to allow air in/out at the spot where your hard drives will sit, this should help keep them cool.
