@ Darth, not necessary for this one, everything was painted Matte Black to match anodized Black base. That way I can eat a bag of greasy chips and not worry about finger prints :mrgreen:

@ cheaps, I painted the entire O.D. Matte Black. LG GH22 SATA Super Multi - DVD Rewriter, 22x. I may have taken photo of that. I ran O.D. cables up along the left side of the MB tray, it's all good!

Kudos to cheapy for the really great brainstorm on this one and especially to Bill and the guys for turning it into to reality!
The laser work on all the parts is impecable and friggin incredible.

This is our 120mm anodized black machined aluminum fan grill. This is the first product that Mnpctech started manufacturing in 2001. So for sentimental reasons, it was important that I utilized a part of our product history in this build

120mm anodized black aluminum fan grill installed in the ceiling of the cube. The grill's 4-7/8" x 4-7/8" dimensions gives you an idea of just how small the ION cube is inside.

I see you switched to a gray fan shroud too. That should make the grill stand out more.
The pedestal assembly continues to raise eyebrows on this side. Your machine shop-fu is legendary.
Looking back, I wish we could have added some etching passes on some of the parts. I have some cool ideas stored away for the next time I get access to a laser. *rubs hands together in mad scientist fashion* :twisted:

fyi: Vista and Zotac's included MB driver software loaded fast & flawlessly. I have the ION connected to Acer's P235Hbmid Black 23" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 50000:1 HDMI @ 1920 x 1080 on 23" Widescreen looks real nice too
