Man, I think it's hit every tech blog out there, including Maximum PC. I'm soo happy that I'm hosting the photos on mnpctech's server, my 3dpixel account where I normally host my photos would have an epic FAIL. I do plan to build another one for myself, an alien spaceship theme

I got some stuff in late last night.
First, here was box one:

-Whee! Ion Motherboard!

-Oops! Scratch that. It's spare parts and install discs.

-Under that was the base with the power brick.

-Box two. This kills me. Bill packed the sh*******t out of this stuff. This is a full atx case box.

-Box two unpacked. There was a handy styrofoam carry tray in the box too.

-Inside box three, wrapped in 5 layers of bubble wrap, was another box.

-Inside that box was more bubble wrap. At this point I thought he had sent me an empty box to unwrap, just for a cruel laugh.

-I think the fan guard would have arrived safely even if it had been dropped from 50,000 feet.

-I'll figure out what to do with the three foot pile of bubble wrap in my rumpus room later. -Maybe an audio re-enactment of Pearl Harbor...

-Don't you hate that. The instructions are in Japanese! I may never get this back together.

-I don't think this part got enough fanfare. I essentially gave Bill a vague angle and said 'wing it !' What he ended up with is absolutely fantastic!

-Here's how far I got on it last night. Stuff got moved and tweaked. I'm going to add all the stuff that didn't make the deadline.

@Bod - I think his shipping it disassembled was the attempt at revenge. I have no clue how he got in there to disconnect the CCFLs. Thank God I have various surgical tools to do the wiring.

-I milled a few spacers and stuff that was missing. -Oh, and Modders-Inc. Say hello to Bananaman!:mrgreen:

-I widened the hole in the 2nd layer for the power switch, and made myself a ring in the process.

-I figured out if you polish the rough mill cuts, they match the laser cuts pretty close.

-I added some glue to the spacers. This was a problem area because of only one screw hole. -Who is the idiot that designed this thing? :roll:

-While I was on a roll, I got a crazy idea in my head. It was so crazy, I took this pic in anticipation of disaster. -Note the block of wood wedged in for support.

-Somehow, I managed to pull it off. Some of the holes are a little oblong...

-The green peeking through the paint looks really cool.
I'll let the thread sleep until the new batch of plexi ships.
