Ok folks, here is the deal. My wife has been battling cancer for the last 7 months, so my work log is going to be pretty sparse this year I believe. Not to mention my camera took a dive lol. But I do have a couple images I can post.
Laser etchings above by Al Shuryan ... Thanks AL!
12.5" Captain America Shield
And no, the case will not be Black.Last edited by XcaliburFX; 07-03-2014, 11:45 PM.

A few more random images, sorry camera is broken so only a few images available.
First a couple more items.
Captain America
35 Anniversary GI Joe with WWII Harley.
Next a few shots of my drying cabinet.
Parts a drying.
Two Halogen lamps putting off the heat into cabinet. Don't worry not close enough for a fire.
Nice and toasty, not a 400 degree paint booth bake, but a little over 100 degrees on a rainy day. Actually works quite well.
A few more pics to be added later, airbrushing is kicking my arse at the moment, yes a noob at it, but I have an excellent teacher. lol

As I said being a total noob at airbrushing (and humidity here also "near 97%") was kicking my tail end, but I made it through it and do have a couple snapshots. At least I had someone that knows a lot more about airbrushing to help me, and man did I need it. He got me going in the right direction, it was hard though as I am old and stubborn. lol
So, this is sort of what I was going for, now if the humidity don't wreak havoc on the clear-coat maybe all will be well, lol.
Painted the white in the shield silver.
Will post more pics when it is all put back together.

I used Krylon Fusion as my base coat and Aqua Flow Professional AirBrush paint ... the clear coat was Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic. I will try to add some more pictures and a better write up later this week.
