March OC Madness 2017 – GIGABYTE Tips-Off the Overclocking Season

GIGABYTE is excited to kick-off 2017 March OC Madness. This overclocking contest is held by GIGABYTE and hosted on  The worlds top overclockers can earn bragging rights along with awesome hardware from a prize pool with over $2500 USD worth of computer hardware! A lucky draw is also available to participants who submit scores in all stages of the competition that total up to over $600 USD.

gigabyte-march-oc-madness-2017This OC contest will have four challenges that will test your computers 3D graphics and processing: XTU 5G, 3DMark Fire Strike Physics, Geekbench 3 Multi Core and HWBOT x256 Benchmark. In each of these challenges participants can score points based on their benchmark scores. The top 3 participants who have the most points by the end of the contest gets to take home the prize!

Here are the rules to enter this awesome contest:

  1. Open to all GIGABYTE motherboards, except for Intel HEDT (High-End Desktop Platform) CPUs.
  2. Please attach a picture of your overclocking rig.
  3. Entrants must use the official competition background.
  4. A verification screenshot is required.

To be eligible for the lucky draw, participants must submit their scores in all stages of the competition.

In a case of a tie, the tie-breaker is the best score in Stage 3. If there’s still a tie, the best score in Stage 2, etc.
