During EPIC CEO Tim Sweeney’s keynote address, NVIDIA CEO Jen Hsun Huang made a surprise appearance carrying a box containing NVIDIA’s latest and greatest graphics card: The Titan X. Not much details were revealed yet but what is known is that the Maxwell-based graphics card will have eight billion transistors and a 12GB framebuffer. The unveiling was a response at the topic Virtual Reality in gaming and NVIDIA promises that this latest evolution in their graphics card solution aims exactly to do that combined with efforts from Oculus and developers such as EPIC with their Unreal 4 engine. The Titan X card itself was sporting the familiar sleek design of the original Titan except clad in black with a glowing green fan. No wood screws here.
