Two new additions to the AMD FM2+ desktop family have been launched, featuring the fastest speeds yet seen on the platform. The A10-7890K clocks in at 4.1GHz with a 4.3GHz turbo frequency compared to the previous A10-7870K which has a 3.9GHz frequency clock and turbo of 4.1GHz. The A10-7890K retains the same compute units and streaming processor count as the A10-7870K including the same IGP frequency but the A10-7890K comes bundled with AMD’s latest Wraith CPU cooler.
The other new processor is the Athlon X4 880K with a 4.0 GHz frequency and a 4.2GHz turbo. The main difference between the Athlon models and the A10 CPUs are the lack of integrated graphics functionality. Both the Athlon X4 880K and the A10-7870K will be packed and repacked with a shroud-less Wraith CPU cooler for near silent operation. Detailed information and current price breakdown is as follows:
|AMD A10 and Athlon X4 Kaveri Lineup|
|Core Freq. (GHz)||4.1-4.3||3.9-4.1||4.0-4.2||3.7-4.0|
|IGP Freq. (MHz)||866||866||N/A||N/A|
