Packaging of the Thermaltake Toughram XG RGB
The packaging of Toughram XG is as colorful as the RGB itself. A lot of helpful information could be found on the back of the package. The modules we have here on the test bench have DDR4 4000 maximum speeds. The module speed and capacity are clearly visible on the front of the package.
The internal packaging of Toughram XG consists of just the plastic enclosure and that’s about it. I did found a few plastic sheets that cover the front/chrome area of the heat sink. My guess this is here to minimize the scratches to the heat sink during shipping.
A Closer Look at the Thermaltake Toughram XG RGB DDR4000
Toughram XG has a standard DDR4 length size with 288 gold plated pins. In the middle of the modules, there is a stylish break with a chrome finish bezel.
The heat sink has a cross pattern where two plates overlap opposite sides. The way heat sinks are attached to the module itself is by adhesive tape.
There are eight ARGB micro LEDs on each side of the module. These ARGB LEDs are compatible with Asus Aurora, Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Razer Chroma and of course Thermaltake RGB Plus and Alexa. Yes, that’s right, you can have Alexa to control lightning modes on your Toughram XG RAM.
