Introduction

Today we are going to take a look at one of XFX's 7900 GT video cards. The $200.00 - $300.00 price range of cards seems to bring many options with it for gamers to choose from. To make the choice even more difficult the card manufactures are breaking things up a few steps further by offering factory over-clocked cards at several levels. If your looking at getting a 7900 GT powered card you can expect to have a wide selection to choose from. In a quick search I found 27 different versions of the 7900 GT while only checking three manufactures sites, keep in mind there are many more manufactures out there.

First Impression

A little about XFX:

XFX dares to go where the competition would like to, but can't. That's because, at XFX, we don't just create great digital video components--we build all-out, mind-blowing, performance crushing, competition-obliterating video cards and motherboards. Oh, and not only are they amazing, you don't have to live on dry noodles and peanut butter to afford them. XFX is a division of PINE Technologies, a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art processing components. To learn more about PINE, click here.

XFX has been making a strong impression in the video card market with their offerings. So lets see what we think of the XFX 7900 GT 470M 256MB VIVO card we acquired.

XFX has created a unique package for their cards. This will definitely stand out while sitting on the retail shelves. The front of the box offers the user the basic information about the card it holds, while the back provides some information on a few of the key features as well as a window in the box to see the cooler area of the card.
