 Description:

You want to build a computer using a barebone kit as the base of the build? First thing you must do, is decide what type of computer you want to build. The next step will be deciding what kit offers you the best overall hardware selection. There are various types of barebone kits on the market, while offering different components with them. Today we are going to take a look at the Ultra Box kit with the nForce SLI based motherboard.

 First Impression:

Ultra has been around for several years now and is known for their sleek looking cases, and power supplies. Their product line is growing at a nice rate offering many great products. The Ultra Box combines the success of the Micro-Fly case and the X-Finity power supplies with a feature rich motherboard.

Upon opening the package you will find the MicroFly case with the X-Finity PSU and EVGA 131-K8-NF44-AX uATX (MicroATX) motherboard already installed. Looking things over you will see that the MicroFly has a great finish with 3 windows showing of its hardware.

With the Ultra Box kit you get the MicroFly case, X-Finity 500W power supply, EVGA uATX motherboard, 80 MM front intake fan, 120 MM rear exhaust fan, and front Audio/USB/Firewire ports.

The MicroFly makes an excellent choice for a gaming rig. It's lightweight, compact, and very portable. It has a built in handle on the front of the case, which makes carrying the unit painless. All of this comes in handy if you tote your system back and forth to LAN events.

Quote From Ultra:

The perfect combination of power and performance in this lightweight, compact package. By using the popular MicroFly case, rock-solid Ultra power supplies and bleeding edge motherboards, we offer an excellent value with great upgrade potential. Our Socket 939 AMD barebone system uses the latest, micro ATX nForce4 SLI based motherboard featuring two PCI-e x16 slots, four DDR memory slots, 8-channel AC'97 audio and Gigabit LAN. An X-Finity 500W power supply is included to ensure ample power for your new gaming machine!
