When I opened the box I was greeted with the fact the unit was well packed. A form fitting cardboard internal structure had the drive chassis on the top of the internal space. Lifting this top lid of cardboard revealed the included software CD, the padded tote, a super tiny Phillips screwdriver (thank you very much), USB cable and a polishing cloth. Since this drive is very highly polished, it was nice to see a company recognizing how easily fingerprints stick to it's product, and ship it with a cloth to wipe it down. Nice move!

The case takes a very sleek and minimalist approach to the case design, being rectangular with a slight convex curvature at the front of the drive. The slim chassis is a highly polished and reflective surface, reminiscent of chrome. You could brush your hair using this drive chassis as a mirror! The surface is that flat and reflective. I am reviewing the black paragon drive, and it is more of a smoked chrome than it is a gloss black black. It is a very attractive case. "Elegant" keeps coming to mind as I look at this drive. Hopefully I'll find another descriptor to use throughout this review.

The box printing is a nicely designed box. Not garish or overly boldened. Graphics wise it has all of two pictures on it, one of the product you are buying, and one of the product family group. The print on the back was a bit hard for me to read, but then my eyes are getting worse lately. But the white font on the grey background on the base of the back of the box was difficult for me to read without my glasses.
