Thermaltake Core P5 Tempered Glass Edition Now Available

Core P5 Tempered Glass

Thermaltake’s open-frame Core P5 case has been popular among modders and many users who love to display their system in a variety of ways either as a wall-mounted system, table top or as a standard desk chassis. It was initially introduced with a plexiglass sidepanel but now users will be able to order it with 5mm thick tempered glass and matching improved stainless steel pillar secure mechanism so that the additional weight is supported properly.

Due to the Core P5’s highly modular design, it can be easily reconfigured to fit different build conditions including high-end water-cooling supporting. Maximum radiator size supported is 480mm with four 120mm fans but 420mm radiators with three 140mm fans can also be installed. It also features an optional AIO bracket which supports either a 120mm or a 140mm fan and 3.5″ as well as 2.5″ storage devices. Three of these can be installed in each Core P5.

For modders and system builders who prefer with an all-white starting base instead of black, the Core P5 Snow edition is also available with the same features. Additional accessories are also available for those who want to play around with the default configuration, including PCI-E riser cables and Thermaltake Pacific water-cooling accessories. While Thermaltake offers a Green edition for die-hard NVIDIA fans on the regular Core P5 series, a tempered glass version with that color is not yet available (although I am sure with enough demand, it will eventually see the light of day).

The regular Core P5 is currently listed on Amazon.com for only $142, with the Green edition listed at $159. No word on the pricing yet and it is not listed yet on Amazon or Newegg but expect it to reach at least $199 as tempered glass carries a price premium.
