Ultra Products recently released three new versions of the MicroFly case, the BX6, MX6, and SX6. The new versions of the MicroFly still use the same basic layout and structure with a few modifications to the design. The BX6 and SX6 both have a door covering the drive bays, while the MX6's front panel is covered in mesh. All three case have removed the carrying handle that is on the original MicroFly. Today we will be taking a look at the MicroFly SX6.
First Impression:
The Ultra MicroFly SX6 comes in a larger colorful box that shows several high res pictures of the case. It lists the majority of its features on the packaging as well.
The MicroFly SX6 is well packed with foam end caps and a clear bag over the case to protect it from any mis handling. The box also has a handle on the top of it, which comes in handy if you want to toss everything back in the box to head to a LAN event (kind of a work around for not having a handle on the case itself).
Pulling the MicroFly SX6 out of the foam you will notice that both the upper and lower front center sections and the windows are covered with yet another layer of protective plastic. This is to keep the plastic surfaces from getting scratched.
The MicroFly SX6 looks a lot like its earlier version, more so than the MX6 we just looked at. The MicroFly SX6 also comes with one of Ultra's XVS 600 Watt power supplies.
