Hard drive activity meters have found their way into several mods over the years. They are not as common as an LED fan for example, but they are becoming more popular as time goes on. There are several guides on the net that will walk you through building your own. The guys over at DragonModz decided to make things easy for those that don't have access to everything needed. They have created what they call the DragonMeter, which is a 10 LED hard drive activity meter. Today we are going to take a look at one and see just how easy it is to install.
First Impression:
To start things off I thought I would toss in a pic of the Dragon Hard Drive Activity Meter in action. There have been several mod builders out there that have built their own custom hard drive activity meters, leaving the average modder wanting one of their own. The DragonModz Hard Drive Activity Meter is a 10 LED array that is lit from left to right (right to left in mine) according to your hard drives activity. This replaces the single hard drive activity LED on a standard case. It uses the same connection point on the motherboard to tell the array when to light and how many LEDs to light.
