ZEROTherm has been kicking out high end CPU and VGA coolers for a couple of years now. We have seen some great performance out of their previous products such as the BTF90 and GX815 coolers. Will their newest VGA cooler rise to the challenge of todays demanding VGA cards? We are going to see how their newest VGA cooler, the Hurricane HC92 CU8800 holds up to the heat produced by a XFX 8800 GTS.
First Impression
The Hurricane HC92 comes packed in a bright silver box that shows off the main body of the cooler. On the front you can find the main key features of the cooler. On the rear you will find the full specifications of the cooler and a little performance info.
The cooler and its hardware is packed in a clear plastic shell to protect it from receiving any damage during shipment. The Hurricane HC92 can operate in three different modes of cooling, but we will discuss that a little later on.
You will receive the Hurricane HC92 cooler, User Manual, Fan Controller, and two bags of accessories. In the larger bag you will find all needed heatsinks for installation on the specific card. There are two versions of the cooler, one for the majority of the cards and the other for the Nvidia 8800 cards.
