 Description:

Today we are looking at the X-Jupiter Junior S Type case by Apevia. Apevia, formerly Aspire, changed their name in 2006 to help avoid confusion between their products and  product lines from other companies such as Aspire notebooks by Acer. Apevia has been producing cases, power supplies and other computer accessories since 1999. The X-Jupiter Junior S Type case is another Apevia creation. This case has some big features that are defiantly worth mentioning. First and foremost there is a very noticeable 250mm intake fan.  Additionally, it has a tool-less design, sturdy construction and sharp looks. Read on to find out more.

 First Impression:

There are several things to notice when looking at the box that the X-Jupiter Junior S Type arrives in. I first notice the full color images and logos covering the box. Notably, the specifications are printed on the front and back of the box to give a basic description of the case features. Also mentionable is the fact that Apevia uses the same box for all 8 variations of the X-Jupiter Junior case. The sides feature full color images of the black S Series and G series cases, while the ends offer a selection of models by color.

My case arrived in a fairly heavy duty box. Some signs of wear from shipping can be noticed, but it held its shape very well with no significant damage. Opening up the box, finds the case wrapped in plastic and enclosed in foam caps for safety in shipping. These caps provide a space between the box and the case sides to prevent damage in case anything should penetrate the box. Once the case is unpacked, you notice a clear cellophane plastic over the front door to offer additional protection. The front of the case is mesh, and could sustain dings, dents, scratches, or other wearing very easily during shipping. The layer of cellophane offers another barrier between the elements and the door.

Looking at the case one cannot help but notice the huge fan in the side; it is definitely an eye-catcher. You also notice the mesh over the fan and on the front. This allows for free airflow while creating a very sharp, clean look. Also on the front is the Apevia logo mounted under an aluminum bezel. A temperature sensor and the large fan control knob are found lower on the front of the case.

Also seen immediately is that most of the case is constructed out of steel, making for a very sturdy structure. Here are some of the specifications from Apevia about this case.
